Sequence Cosmetics

Sequence is a peptide-focused cosmetics brand. We are in development: no formula has been finished, tested or priced yet, and nothing on this site is for sale.

Why we are building it

Skincare has become very good at listing ingredients and very bad at saying which of them matter. A label with forty entries hides the two or three doing the work, and a percentage that appears in the marketing but not on the box is not a number anyone can act on. Choosing a product should not require reading a forum thread to find out what is actually in it.

Sequence is being built the other way round. Each formula starts from one active with a well-documented mechanism, in a base chosen to keep that active stable and comfortable on skin — and then it stops. A short list is easier to test, easier to tolerate, and far easier to describe honestly.

What we intend to publish

For every product we ship, we intend to state the active by name, the concentration it is used at, what the rest of the formula is doing, and what we did and did not test. Where an ingredient is present for texture, preservation or feel rather than effect, we will say so rather than let it pad out a claim.

The commitments on this page describe how we intend to work. They are not a description of a product you can buy today, because there is not one yet.

What we will not do

We will not publish a claim before it has been tested, quote a clinical result we did not obtain, or describe a cosmetic as though it treats a medical condition. Sequence products are cosmetics for external use; they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and we will not write copy that implies otherwise.

Where we are

Four concepts are in early development — a copper peptide serum, a PDRN recovery serum, and two barrier serums built on ectoin and mucin. Names, formulations and packaging can all still change. You can see the current state of each on the products page, and ask to hear first from the early-access section of the homepage.
